Sacred Heart of Jesus Ward Celebrates Feast of Nativity

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Ward, St. Raphael Church, Badyar, celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of Mother Mary and the Harvest Festival on September 21, 2025, at the residence of Mr. Leo Monis.  Ward Gurkar Mr. Santhosh Serrao extended a warm welcome to all, after which the program began     at 4:00 pm with a Novena led by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Roshan Crasta. This was followed by the offering of flowers, intercessory prayers, and the blessing of new paddy grains, which were later shared in sweet porridge (payasam).

The event saw active participation from children, youth, and adults. Parish leaders including Sr. Janet, Parish Council members, ward gurkars, and SCC Central Committee members graced the occasion. September birthdays and anniversaries were celebrated with prayers, cake cutting, and a wishing song. Spot games added joy, with prizes distributed to winners.

Ward Representative Mrs. Zeeta Crasta proposed the vote of thanks. A total of 55 members from 25 families took part. The celebration concluded with snacks and coffee, fostering unity, faith, and togetherness within the ward community.
