Celebration of Monthi Feast In Our Lady of Holy Rosary
Our Lady of Holy Rosary Ward celebrated ward feast and the Festival of Harvest ( Monti Fest ) on 6th October 2024 at the residence of Mrs. Mary Saldhana. The programme began at 12 p.m. with the prayer. After the prayer the Parish Priest Rev Fr. Roshan Crasta added the blessed new paddy grains into the milk and served to everybody as a symbol of unity and love. Mr. Clifford Mathias who was the M.C. of the programme conducted various fun games which added joy to the celebration. The children, youth, men and women participated in the games actively. The stage programme was held after the games. The Parish Priest Rev Fr Roshan Crasta, the secretary of Parish Pastoral Parishad Mrs. Premalatha Frank, the assistant administrator of Fr. L. M. Pinto Hospital Sr. Jyotsna, the head of the resident Mrs. Mary Saldanha and the ward headman Mr. Arun Dsouza were present on the dais. The ward headman Mr. Arun Dsouza welcomed everyone for the programme. The Serao family a new addition to the ward was welcomed specially with flowers. The cake was cut to celebrate the birthdays of the ward members who celebrate in October. After the parish priest lifted the chit, Mr. Felix Dsouza and his family were regarded as the lucky family of the day. The winners of the games were given away the prizes by the assistant administrator of Fr. L. M. Pinto Hospital Sr. Jyotsna. Ms Chrishal Dsouza, studying in First P.U.C. at Vani Pre University College, Belthangady, was felicitated for being selected to the State level throwball team and meanwhile Mr. Jerald Dsouza read the profile of her. Mr. Stany Pinto, one of the designing contestants of parish logo for the parish website top ranked was honoured by the parish priest. The parish priest in his presidential speech congratulated to the ward headman, representatives and other members of the ward for organizing a beautiful programme. He also said to continue the same spirit in the ward. Mr. Rajesh Serao, the representative of the ward proposed vote of thanks. The pure vegetarian fellowship meal items prepared in different families of the ward was served on the occasion of (Monti Fest) the festival of Harvest. 71 people from the ward were present for the celebration.
