Cancer Awareness Health Talk

A Cancer Awareness Health Talk was conducted at St. Raphael Church, Badyar, by Dr. Elroy Saldanha, onco surgeon father Muller medical College hospital kankanady with the aim of creating awareness among the public about cancer prevention, early detection and treatment.

Dr. Elroy explained the common types of cancer, major risk factors, warning signs and symptoms, and emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle, regular health check-ups and timely medical consultation. He particularly highlighted that early detection can greatly improve the chances of successful treatment.The participants were encouraged to avoid tobacco and other harmful habits, maintain a healthy diet and seek medical advice when they notice any unusual or persistent symptoms. The talk also helped to dispel fear and misconceptions surrounding cancer and encouraged people to approach the disease with greater awareness and confidence.

The programme was informative, practical and beneficial to the participants, and Dr. Elroy Saldanha was thanked for sharing his valuable medical knowledge and guidance with the community.
